Was heißt das "doo" von "Scooby Doo"?

Entweder heißt Scooby Doo ÜBERHAUPT NICHTS (was ich annehme, es ist einfach ein NAme, ein Ausruf. Man denke an YubbaDubbaDoo) ), oder es bedeutet tatsächlich "Tauchausrüstung".

"Dooby" ist dagegen m.E. eine Haschischzigarette.

Mit dem Verb "do" hatt das DOO aber ganz sicher NICHTS zu tun.
